Travis Scott Donates $100K To Houston After-School Program

HOUSTON, TX – Travis Scott is putting his money to good use. The Houston Chronicle reports Scott has donated $100,000 to Workshop Houston, an after-school program that operates in his hometown.

The “Sicko Mode” creator reportedly became aware of the organization after the nonprofit participated in his Astroworld Festival in 2018. Scott decided to donate the money after learning about Workshop Houston’s arts and education programs.

The organization plans to use Scott’s donation to fund endeavors such as a design program for students who will recreate the Milly gown worn by former first lady Michelle Obama in her official White House portrait. According to the Chronicle, Workshop Houston will also be staging a drone racing competition in May.
