Welcome to the monthly RapTV Power Rankings, a top 10 leaderboard that ranks the hottest artists and releases in the rap genre. The list comprises the industry's most talented and influential artists based on their recent accomplishments, musical releases, and overall impact in a given month.

#1. Drake

This month, Drake topped Power Rankings after releasing his highly anticipated studio album, For All the Dogs. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200, marking Drizzy’s 13th #1 entry on the chart, and sold 411,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album contains 23 songs, with 11 features from the likes of J. Cole, Yeat, Lil Yachty, and 21 Savage.

“First Person Shooter” debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, giving J. Cole his first #1 single. Additionally, Drake announced his intention to take a break from music to focus on his health for the foreseeable future.

#2. Offset

Offset has climbed to the #2 spot on the RapTV Power Rankings this October, thanks to the release of his second studio album, "Set It Off." The former Migo's latest project features 21 tracks and includes collaborations with Travis Scott, Future, Cardi B, and others. In its first week, "Set It Off" sold 70,000 album-equivalent units and debuted at #2 on the Hot 200 chart.

#3. Ken Carson

Ken Carson takes the final podium spot on this month’s top 10 list after the Opium rapper released his newest studio album, A Great Chaos. Carson’s latest tape is host to 18 tracks but features only two other artists—Destroy Lonely and Lil Uzi Vert. The album debuted at #11 on the Billboard Hot 200, marking the rapper’s first top 20 entry. Additionally, A Great Chaos sold 49,000 album-equivalent units in its first week and has been heralded online as Ken’s official break into the mainstream.

#4 Yeat

Yeat has earned the #4 spot on Power Rankings, making a comeback this October. The California-born rap artist gained immense popularity this month due to rumors about the release of his upcoming album LyfeStyle. He teased the project’s release date on Instagram, but it is yet to be confirmed. Fans are speculating that the album will be released in early November. Moreover, Yeat's verse on Drake's latest song "IDGAF" went viral, with fans praising his flow and delivery on the popular track.

#5 J. Cole

J. Cole has secured a spot on this month's top 10 list, mainly due to his collaboration on Drake's song "First Person Shooter," featured on For All the Dogs. J. Cole’s been on an undefeated feature run as of late, and “First Person Shooter” was his victory lap, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s J. Cole’s first No. 1 song of his career. It's worth noting that Drake shared a video of the duo recording the song just hours before the album's release on October 7th.

#6 Travis Scott

Travis Scott returns to Power Rankings as the Cactus Jack boss kicked off the Circus Maximus Tour, which began on October 11 in Charlotte, North Carolina, in support of his latest studio album, Utopia. He’s already breaking records with revenue projections of $80M from 500K tickets sold. It’s a new personal best, surpassing the numbers for his Astroworld tour, which grossed $60M.

His LA tour date is another milestone, making him the first rapper to headline and sell out SoFi Stadium. Lastly, his merch sales are soaring, averaging $1M per night. The tour includes 39 stops across the U.S. and Canada and will conclude on December 29 in Toronto, Ontario.

#7 Rod Wave

Rod Wave has remained on Power Rankings again this month. The rapper-singer from Florida is still basking in the success of his fifth studio album, Nostalgia. He also started his Nostalgia Tour on October 19, which will include 34 shows across the United States, as well as a show in Toronto, Canada. The tour is also still set to feature guest performances by Ari Lennox, Toosii, G Herbo, and Eelmatic.

#8 Sexyy Red

Sexyy Red continued to make waves in the music industry this month after her Hood Hottest Princess tour kicked off on October 16 in Boston, MA. The tour consists of 24 shows across the United States and will wrap up in late November. In addition to her tour, Sexyy Red also recently received a nomination for "Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist" at the 2023 BET Awards, which was announced in early October.

#9 Westside Gunn

Westside Gunn has made his debut on Power Rankings after releasing his latest studio album, And Then You Pray For Me. During an interview, the Griselda rapper announced that this would be his final studio album. He further added that he would focus on releasing singles that cater to the public's demands in the future. The album sold 20,000 album equivalent units and debuted at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart.

#10 Lil Yachty

Lil Yachty clutched the final spot on Power Rankings after the rapper’s latest media run this month. The Atlanta rap act released two new episodes of his podcast A Safe Place (co-hosted by MitchGoneMad), which featured Lucki and Arrogant Tae, respectively. Yachty was also featured performing a cypher for On The Radar Radio alongside fellow Concrete Boys labelmates Karrahbooo, Draft Day, DC2TRILL, and Kamo.
