Song Streams & Revenue

As reported by Hits Daily Double for November 24 to 30.

Itā€™s a new Thursday and a new song revenue chart. As reported by Hits Daily Double, which tracks streaming revenue week over week, the above chart reflects the streaming period from November 24 to 30.

Jack Harlowā€™s ā€œLovin On Meā€ is still going strong with over 21M streams, generating $98K in revenue. Drakeā€™s ā€œIDGAFā€ is the most streamed song from For All The Dogs, with almost 11M streams and $50K in revenue. Only ā€œYou Broke My Heartā€ remains on the chart from Drakeā€™s Scary HoursĀ Edition, with over 8M streams and $39K in revenue.

Drake Takes Action After Metro Boominā€™s Shade

Bad news for 21 Savage: the alleged tension between Drake and Metro Boomin appears to have worsened. Follow-watching fans noticed Drake unfollowed Metro after the now-deleted tweet where Metro voiced his frustration with Her Loss getting more accolades than Heroes & Villains.

Follow-watching is usually a subpar piece of information to care about, but given the context, itā€™s a piece of a larger puzzle. Metroā€™s annoyance that Heroes & Villains doesnā€™t get the recognition it deserves as the most streamed rap album of the year is inoffensive on its own, but the comparison to Her Loss reads like the sodium content in a bag of chips.

Drakeā€™s subliminal IG story wasnā€™t enough to confirm negative feelings between the two, but the unfollow, right after Metroā€™s comments went viral, seems like a statement. Metro is still following Drake for now. Follow watchers are on standby in case Metro uses the Uno reverse.

Fans would not only be disappointed but hurt, confused, and crushed if Metro and Drake never worked together again. There would be no ā€œKnife Talkā€ or What A Time To Be Alive, and the custody arrangement for studio time with 21 Savage and Future would need legal aid.

Kodak Black Arrested For Cocaine Possession

Early Thursday morning in Plantation, Florida, Kodak Black was arrested again for cocaine possession, tampering with evidence, and violation of his existing probation. Itā€™s become such a frequent occurrence for Kodak that fans joke, ā€œBro lives in jail and visits home.ā€ What led to the arrest? Find out more below.

Cops noticed a Bentley SUV blocking a roadway and found Kodak sleeping in the driverā€™s seat. When they smelled weed, Kodak admitted to having some in the car, but the presence of a cup that smelled like alcohol prompted them to ask Kodak to step out of the vehicle.

According to the police report, a white powder fell to the ground in front of Kodak, and his mouth was full of the same powder. It was tested and came back positive for cocaine, which led to the possession and tampering charge because he was trying to discard it without cops noticing.

Heā€™s been released on bail, but the State of Flordia has motioned to revoke his bail, and the story is developing.

He was arrested for drug trafficking last year when he was found with 31 oxycodone pills, and this arrest violates his probation. He also failed a drug test in February. His drug charges go back as early as 2015, but his most infamous legal incident is when Donald Trump pardoned his three-year federal prison sentence in 2021.

During his Drink Champs interview last month, fans speculated that he was geeked out, causing concern for his well-being and drug use.

Playboi Carti & Frank Ocean Tease New Music

This is not a drill. Playboi Carti and Frank Ocean, who have been going lie-for-lie all year, just teased new music. Frank posted a 24-second snippet on his IG story of himself vibing to new music in the studio. He also released a new batch of Blonde vinyls, giving his starving fans sustenance for the next few months.

Playboi Cartiā€™s been ā€œdropping the albumā€ for longer than some artists' careers, but this time seems different šŸ¤”Ā . He posted a cryptic ā€œI Am Musicā€ IG story that has been reposted by Pharrell (this is three years in the making) and various artists/producers, hinting at who may be on the album.

Then, DJ Akademics confirmed, ā€œThe music you are waiting for will be delivered in January.ā€ ā€œThis guy is ready, heā€™s ready to deliver. I gotta be honest with yā€™all. Unfortunately, Playboi Carti will not be dropping at midnight,ā€ he said on Twitch.

Even if Carti posted a release date, fans would still be skeptical, but his last album, Whole Lotta Red, was released on Christmas, so maybe this time of year inspires him to give. It would be a crazy plot twist to get new Frank Ocean or Playboi Carti before GTA 6.
